Top 6 Horror Movies On Netflix

Horror movies are a great way for people who are not into scary things to get into the fun and excitement of a scary movie. While you may enjoy a scary movie for the thrills, suspense and entertainment, other factors may also influence your decision to watch a particular movie.

1) Saw :

The remake of the first film of John Carpenter's Saw movie franchise. This is a very different Saw movie from before and it's actually quite good. I think you all know that this movie is a horror-y story about a girl who gets possessed by supernatural creatures while she's an infant, so we see her with what seems to be some really disturbing memories. It's actually pretty scary and gives us a lot of anxiety for many people, but also a bit of great suspense because the viewer will never know if something horrible will happen next or not. There are a lot of scenes in this movie where you see strange things happening.

Some were even more terrifying than others, which is interesting because they make you wonder whether or not there are any other creatures like the one possessed by Alice in Wonderland. Then again, many have said the storyline wasn't in a way very coherent; for example, when she started seeing weird visions and hallucinations in the school, it seemed as if she had something to do with these ghosts. Then the question arises as you can only assume that there are more creepy things happening then your imagination can handle; why she sees visions, how often does she see visions, and how old is her parents' age? Those questions have been left up to the viewer to try to figure out.

And the best part is that it has been directed by Joel and Ethan Ball. They've got such a great sense of filmmaking that makes this movie incredibly entertaining to watch and is just worth watching, even though you're scared at times. You'll love every minute of this film; it's a truly amazing piece of art.

2) A Quiet Place :

An excellent addition to the Resident Evil series when compared to the original game. When I say excellent...it means the same thing as awesome. That's exactly what you get with this documentary. In A Quiet Place, your character goes into a hotel room and meets someone else. Once the person leaves, the camera and sound disappear from the room; it really feels surreal. Of course, the guy isn't gone forever.

He's still alive and he has the power to haunt the people inside this hotel room. It's a good film that deals with fear and uncertainty in ways that few films do, not to mention making me more scared than ever to go somewhere new now. If nothing else, it makes you feel like the character can see something terrible and bad happening around them that they can't. I guess there's a little something for everyone in this film. I feel this movie was made in 2017 in order to be enjoyable for people who might be suffering from anxiety. People who deal with post-traumatic stress disorder.

I believe this movie is actually meant for older adults who are thinking about what happened when they went through a past trauma to this situation. The idea that the people inside this hotel room could have somehow gotten inside to hurt them, was enough to make my blood boil. However, despite the fact this is clearly a warning, I'm sure that no matter what happens to you in life, you can always find somewhere else to run if you need to, even if you don't want to. I think that this is also meant for people who have PTSD in their lives or who have experienced traumatic events, either being killed or having children. With that said, it's extremely well-done.

3) Let Me Out :

Another horror-y feature that I'm sure I will not spoil too much. To start off this list, let me bring you back to 2010, when this movie came out. Now, I'm actually going to have an hour between two movies, but that doesn't mean that this movie should be overlooked. This movie is also another reminder of just how absurdist this genre can get. But here's the thing about insanity. The craziness is what makes us human. We tend to react to our environment more, we show off more at parties and work, and we try to live normal lives. All of that means that there are limits.

Limits that are sometimes hard to understand for those of us who are lucky enough to have families and friends around us to remind us that our behaviors are abnormal. I think that when this movie comes out, it will come across as "this needs more thought," because it's not the best choice. I think this movie should be given less time on this list if people can look away and focus on its plot. Let Us Be Friends would be perfect in this situation.

4) Jaimie David Vs Goliath :

I'm going to end this by bringing in another popular meme movie. As far as I know, the term monster is used differently in this movie than most in films, which may be due to the fact that it's based on true stories. In Jaimie David Vs Goliath, you see a man and a woman who are both attacked by a monster, resulting in them each becoming severely injured to the point where one person dies.

It's a funny movie, it's intense, it's odd, and its premise is ridiculous and insane. In the beginning of it, you meet these women, take them from what seems to be a safe place and tell them you need them. They leave. Later on, once the world knows that their husbands and husbands are dead, they decide to steal their bodies and put them in the trash. Then it becomes clear that the monster has already eaten one of them.

At least until you realize that he's probably doing it himself, because the monster has a skeleton key for the backdoor of his home. What is he hiding in his backyard? What did he do at all to deserve this? Why did he eat their bodies, but the wife died? Because they stole his money, so that he wouldn't lose his job at a gas station. They stole his money so he didn't have to keep living like a slave. So much is a mystery in this movie, and it's not exactly a fun experience. I can definitely relate to that movie, because I'm also a fan of it.

5) American Psycho :

If you're unfamiliar with this masterpiece of cinema, I highly suggest reading my review of American Psycho from last year. Basically, this movie shows several murders but also has weird topics in some of there films, so I won't ruin anything with spoilers. Most importantly, this movie shows that there are people who kill and others who survive, not necessarily because of circumstances, but simply because of hatred. One person kills themselves, killing himself, accidentally leaving a copycat killer behind. Then he murders himself.

So, no matter how long you watch this movie, you'll learn that some will die, others will survive, and then others will be reborn. How does that happen, and why? Is it all possible, and when? Will it continue until a new murder happens, or will that one be the last? Are there forces that cause these crimes to occur, or are they completely random? These questions are left up to the viewer to explore, to discover whether or not the answers are as simple as the ones we give birth to. And I feel like there's something for everyone to discuss in this movie, and the ideas in it are just as intriguing to viewers as the characters themselves are.

6) Insidious 2 :

A sequel to the 2009 hit. I remember liking this movie so much when it came out. It is just amazing. The movie starts out slow; there isn't a huge amount of action and gore to go with it. However, there is plenty of intense emotions between Jack Reacher and Carla Murena when meeting, and their struggles later on. Their relationship is unique. While Murena tries to avoid it, her ex-husband insists he wants to give her the whole package, so he buys her a house and starts buying her things, which leads to her moving out and he starting using drugs and alcohol.

She eventually ends up getting clean and sober, but this movie is even better than the first one and has something to offer to anyone who loves horror films. It's kind of bizarre, it makes use of everything from psychological torture techniques to psychosurgery, but the whole concept of it is genuinely fascinating to watch. It's darkly comedic but surprisingly fun to watch, and it's easy to fall into a rabbit hole after a certain number of days or weeks of watching.

Especially when you compare it to the second of this movie being released. With that said, there's no denying the movie has some serious scares, including a moment where a doctor stabs him with a knife while trying to stop him from murdering his wife. I haven't seen this movie, but I do know that it's not very long. I also know that a lot of the terror coming from this film comes from the fear he has towards the doctors and nurses that treat his patients, because one day he finds out they aren't real. After that whole story with the patients, he kills himself, leaving his wife's body in the attic, while keeping an eye out for new faces looking out for him. His wife is gone, and he only has one chance to save her from herself.
